MATCHBOOK MALBEC 750ML
Our Matchbook Malbec is based on the Clone 595 grown in our Dunnigan Hills vineyard. This small-yield, French clone was imported into the U.S. in 2012 and produces such deep color and intense flavor that we decided to add the varietal to our Matchbook lineup. The 2019 vintage opens with beautiful aromas of caramel, chocolate and toasty oak from barrel aging. The flavors are a complex mix of blueberry, bright raspberry and vanilla layered over the anise and red apple notes that are the distinct markers of the varietal. The texture is smooth; the rich finish is long and lingering.
