ANGELISCO BLANCO TEQUILA 750ML
The Aceves Family of Arandas have been growing agave for six generations. The current generation has producer Alvaro Aceves, their first Tequila engineer and youngest son. His apprenticeship in the industry was with the former master distiller of Don Julio. He is now distilling at Casa San Matias which distills the brands Pueblo Viejo, Orgullo and Casa San Matias. Alvaro’s passion project is distilling his family’s agave for Angelisco at Casa Tequileria de Arandas. The fields of agave are located in the heart of the “Golden Triangle” of Los Altos, the famous highlands of Jalisco. The high elevation with its hot days and cool nights, and the deep red, iron rich, clay soils cause the agaves to struggle, lengthening their life cycle and complexity. Angelisco’s tequilas are single-estate grown, 100% blue weber agave sourced from the Aceves family fields in the “Golden Triangle” of Los Altos (the Highlands) of Jalisco. Piñas (hearts of agave) are steam cooked for 24 hours, followed by a 72 hour open-air fermentation, double distilled in stainless steel pot still with copper components. There are no additives or finishing agents. Yield is approximately 8 Kilos of Agave per liter.
